Lighting Blog Tsk

The use of low key light highlights the female. the example would be that there are quite prominent shadows and deep blacks, however the smoke is used as high key lighting.  The effects of the lighting in this makes the protagonist seem very mysterious and secretive.

Low key lighting is a key part of this still image and this is base on the use of the shadows barely any light and deep and dark tones. This creates a very scary atmosphere for the viewer as they wonder why the character is consumed by darkness.

This is a perfect example of high key lighting because the images has little contrast and dark areas, and usually the use of a white backgrounds. The effect this has is that it highlights him as a very serious man ready for war which is an action code.

This is an example of low key lighting. This is also shown by the dark tones and lack of light. There are also little to no white or mid-tones. The effect this has it that it also makes the protagonist and character very serious and the gun using mise-en-sc
ene portrays an action code.

This is a mix of low and high key lighting. The high key is shown through the bright lit subject and the little use of dark areas however the shadow of the protagonist is shadowed therefore it is a mix. The effect this that i can tell that this film is a comedy based of the lighting and  face expressions.

The use of high key lighting is obvious here and it shows. The lighting and shadows from the background is from the blinds so it is natural light which help you focus on the two exchanging a kiss.

The use of back lighting really highlights the focus of the characters and the low lighting used help highlight the shadows which also creates a mysterious vibe as the viewer wonders are these creatures from a different planet.
